«I am a straight lesbian»

I read in the «New York Times» that the conservative English government wants to pardon all gays that were criminalized because of their sexual preference. Do you think this is an honest move or just propaganda?

Well, it could be, but I do think there is a righteous sense of the politicians of the right and center who are socially liberal now. The conservative party used to be not liberal at all. And what the previous government of David Cameron was trying to do was to envision themselves as kind of socially liberal. And I guess Theresa May is saying ‹let that go through, because this is a message that we want to send out into the Western world›. So I think we should take it in good faith.
